Summary

This LabProfiler report presents findings from a market study carried out to identify and profile the global locations of laboratories where High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is used. Other market areas relating to the use of HPLC in these laboratories were also analysed, including global regions, countries, organisation types, research or clinical use and organisation names.

This study identified 11,500 organisations where HPLC is being used. These have been mapped across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific, 13 global regions, 145 countries and the end-user laboratory organisations by name.

LabProfiler studies focus on individual laboratory activities, such as a specific method or application. Other kinds of laboratory activities are also covered in these studies, such as the use of a specific reagent or antibody or the study of a specific disease, protein, biomarker or cell type.

Our goal in conducting LabProfiler studies is to identify a high proportion of all global laboratories where a particular activity of interest is found. Findings from these studies provide a highly cost-effective means by which suppliers can identify new market opportunities.

Our LabProfiler studies are provided in the form of a PDF report, together with an excel study file containing the full market information compiled during the study. This file can be used independently, or imported directly into your own database. The PDF market report analyses the use of HPLC across all areas of the study. If required, further analysis can be carried using the excel data file, for example with Pivot tables. This enables leading global HPLC markets and sectors to be identified.

1. Methods

This study investigated global laboratories using HPLC, covering 4 different techniques. The excel data file provided with the report enables further segmentation across these areas of the study.These include HPLC, Fast HPLC, UHPLC and UPLC. Please note, while a number of different techniques were investigated, findings may not reflect their relative levels of use. In some cases HPLC is described by laboratories generally (i.e. HPLC), rather than in terms of a specific technique.

2. EMEA, Americas, Asia Pacific

Laboratories using HPLC were profiled across three major global regions, namely EMEA, Americas and Asia Pacific. These findings are segmented by top countries, organisation types and other areas. The excel data file provided with the report enables further segmentation across these areas of the study.

3. Regions

This study also profiled HPLC laboratories across 13 global regions and these Europe, North America, Asia, South America, Middle East, Oceania and Northern Africa. The excel data file provided with the report enables further segmentation across these areas of the study.

4. Countries

More than 95 countries were profiled in terms of laboratories using HPLC and these included China, United States, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, Italy, Brazil, France, Spain, India, Iran, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Poland, Sweden, Netherlands, Republic of Korea, Switzerland, Portugal, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, Turkey, Norway, Mexico, Czech Republic, Greece, South Africa and Thailand. 5. Organisation Types

This study also profiled laboratories across more than 40 organisation types where HPLC is used. These included hospitals, institutes, universities, companies, agencies, national laboratories and clinical centres. Laboratories where HPLC is used for either research and clinical purposes, were also profiled. The excel data file provided with the report enables further segmentation across these areas of the study.
